Justin A. Centanni, CLA
Assessor, Lafayette Parish
Justin was elected the 26th Assessor of Lafayette Parish on October 14, 2023, taking office on January 1, 2025. His mission is to provide cutting-edge technology that will bring fair, accurate and efficient property valuations for the taxpayers of Lafayette Parish.
Over 25 years working for the federal government and financial institutions, Mr. Centanni made a career of solving critical business problems leveraging data and technology. He spent time living in Washington, DC working for the Department of Defense, developing the software behind the military's Smart ID cards. Later, he managed the team responsible for back-end data integrations for IberiaBank, in-particular managing the platforms responsible for detecting fraud and illicit banking activities in real-time.
He is also very involved in our local community. Prior to serving as Assessor, Justin was twice elected as the District 6 Representative on the Lafayette Parish School Board. He is a member of the Beaver Club of Lafayette, the Knights of Columbus as well as the Krewe of Gabriel. He was honored as one of Acadiana's Top 20 Under 40 in 2015.
